On July 2nd, Saturday the primary held an open school for prospective
students. about 200 people came for the day.
first there was an observation lesson from 9:15. In the International
Division the following lessons were taught. Grade 1 learned about
classifying solids in Math. Grade 2 articles in Japanese. Grade 3 learned
graphs and charts in Math. Grade 4 learned 2-digit multiplication in Math.
Grade 5 learned about the solar system in Science using an electronic board.
Grade 6 learned about the rise and fall of the house of Taira in Social
Studies.
following the class observation there was an explanation seminar in the
school chapel presided over by Father Tagawa. Attendees were given detailed
information about the school courses, entry procedures, and atmosphere.
Afterwards there was a short question and answer period. It is our hope that
it was an informative and enjoyable event for those who came.
Finally we would like to thank the members of the PTA who offered assistance
to make the day a success.
