１、２年生の校外学習は、水の科学館へ行きました。
アクアラインで海を越え、期待に胸を膨らませた子どもたちの目は、バスを降りた時、とてもいきいきとし、輝いていました。水の科学館では、いつも何気なく使っている身近な水についてあらためて見つめ直し、水との関わりや、つきあい方、環境に配慮する気持ちなどを再認識することができました。
前方、左右、天井の4面に映し出される映像体感施設の「水のたびシアター」では、自分たちが水つぶになったような感覚で“水の旅”をからだ全体で体感し、子どもたちは心を躍らせていました。
校外学習は、全体を通して水のたいせつさを見学や体験をしながら学び、また、時間とこうきょうのルールを守り、楽しく見学することができました。
爽やかな天候にも恵まれ、お昼は芝生の上で班ごとに食べました。晴れた空の下で、心地よい風が吹く中でのお弁当は、とても格別なようでした。
いつもは、小学校の緑に囲まれて生活している子どもたちが、都会的な風景に、すっかり溶け込んでいることが、とても新鮮に映りました。
On Thursday, October 27th, first and second grade students enjoyed learning about the wonders of water. In the Aqua Trip Theatre, students were able to view a film and get a feeling as if they have become a drop of water. In the Aqua Forest, students were able to experience the feeling of watching water and woods from the air space, and understand the relation between people and nature from the water’s point of view. We learned about the nature of forests and water, and how to protect water and forests. In the Aqua laboratory, students enjoyed learning the secrets of tasty water, and participated in water quality experiments, and watched demonstrations by the staff. In Aqua town, students learned about water in their lives, and the multiple uses of water and how it makes our lives easier. Students were also able to take a water quiz in tap quiz corner. Overall, it was a successful day and was enjoyed greatly by both staff and students.
