4.12 Orienteering: Welcoming the 1st graders

On Saturday, April 12, 2014, we held our annual orienteering exercise to welcome the first graders and familiarize them with the campus. All the 14 teams gathered in the gym and listened enthusiastically as the Student Council explained the rules of the game. This year, the students had to look for 8 questions hidden around the school and answer them. All the first graders in each team carried a stamp sheet and the teacher-in-charge signed it as soon as they found the questions. It was great to see the elder students guiding the lively little ones as they searched for clues. They were all energetic under the warm sun. After answering 8 questions and securing 8 stamps, the teams headed back to the gym. Team 7 won the game with the fastest time and a perfect score. Each of the members received a certificate and a prize. All the 1st graders received a certificate of participation. After the closing ceremony, the groups enjoyed a picnic-style lunch with the teachers.
