３・4年生合同で、高学年の林間学校代休を利用し、お台場にある日本科学未来館へ行って参りました。暖かな風と日差しに恵まれた、絶好の校外学習日和となり、児童は大変活き活きとしていました。館内では、未来型ロボット「ASIMO」と触れ合ったり、国際宇宙ステーションを体験したり、日本が誇る世界最深クラスの潜水調査船「しんかい６５００」の模型の中に入ったりしました。また4年生は、ドームシアターにて「バースディ」というテーマで、宇宙と私をつなぐものについてプラネタリウム学習をしました。
昼食は、東京湾のパノラマが広がるテレコムセンタービルの展望台にて、素晴らしい景色の中、お家の方の愛情がこもったお弁当を頂きました。今回初の日本科学未来館での体験学習となりましたが、児童は、確かなものを得て帰路につきました。
今後も、より体験的な学習を交え、小学校理科の目標である「自然法則や環境学習を体験的に学習」の充実化をより一層計っていければと考えています。
Today, with the upper grade students off because of the school camp, the third and fourth grade students took the opportunity to visit the “Miraikan” Science Museum in Odaiba. Despite the heat, it was a great day, with the students showing great energy throughout the day. Inside the museum, the students were able to see the famed ASIMO humanoid robot in action, experience life on the international space station, and also see the Japan-made “Shinkai 6500” deep sea submarine, capable of submerging to depths of 6,500 meters. Fourth grade students also were also able to visit the “Dream Theatre” planetarium and learn about our connection to outer space.
For lunch, the students relocated to the Telecom Tower building observatory, where they were able to enjoy the panoramic views of Tokyo bay and enjoy their lunches. As our first visit to the Miraikan, the students were able to experience much and come home safely. From now on, we hope to create more opportunities for the children to learn about the environment, nature and science going forward.
