2013年度授業見学会・学校説明会でのQ&A
今年から推薦入試が導入されますが、経緯を教えて下さい。
外国国籍の方が日本のペーパーテストに対応できなかったり、共働き等の理由で受検塾に通えないなどの理由で私立小学校入試を敬遠されている方々の為に、ペーパーテストによらず、子どもたちの個性や潜在能力を評価する試験を導入することとなりました。
推薦書は、幼稚園、塾など2通までになっていますが、2通提出した方が有利になるのですか。
幼稚園とプリスクールの両方に通っている場合、どちらの推薦書を提出するか迷われている方が多かったため、2通まで提出可能としました。通常は1通ご提出いただければ十分です。なお、入試は本番の試験の方が重視されます。 （推薦書を書かれる方へ）塾や幼稚園などから直接学校へ送付しないで下さい。必ず、保護者に1通ずつ発行して下さい。なお、封書に入れ、厳封してください。
推選入試の場合は第一希望（単願）でなければならないのですか。
併願でも構いません。単願、併願が合否に影響することはありません。
個別テストの時間と内容を教えて下さい。
個別テストは約30分間です。数や図形、お話の記憶、思考、具体物を使った操作、巧緻性などを評価します。それぞれのテストのブースを設け各テストで一人の教師が全受検者を評価し、公平性を保った試験を行ないます。なお、さらなる公平性のため、受験者は当日はゼッケンを着用して頂き、番号で呼ばれることになります。
レギュラーコースとインターナショナルコースで個別テストの内容に違いはありますか
レギュラーコースは日本語で、インターナショナルコースは英語で指示を出しますが、内容に違いはありません。
集団行動観察は以前のものと内容が変わりがありませんか。
集団行動は集団遊びのような内容の試験を行なっていましたが、今回からは運動能力も評価対象にします。例えば、平均台を使ったゲームや大縄遊び、フルーツバスケットなどを行なっていただくこともあります。
合否判定について40名の内訳を教えて下さい。
コース別に児童の得点の上位から合格とし、合否のボーダーライン上で並んだ受検者は全教員の協議によって合否を決定します。したがって、必ずしもレギュラーコースとインターナショナルコースで合格者数が同数になるとは限りませんが、各コースとも最低20名の合格者を予定しています。
不合格になった場合は一般入試にプラスがありますか。
例えば、推薦でインターナショナルコースが不合格となって、一般入試を受検する場合は第1希望をインターナショナルコース、第2希望をレギュラーコースとすることもできます。
英語の成績が優秀なのに不合格になることがあると聞いたのですが？
当校のインターナショナルコースの入試は英語での出題や指示を行なうため、簡単な聞き取りや日常会話ができれば対応できますが、英語そのものの成績での評価は行なっておりません。ただし、入学後の授業や学校生活などはほぼ全てが英語の環境となりますので、合格後も日常会話のスキルアップなどの勉強を怠らないようにして下さい。 （以上の回答の内容が、必ずしも試験で課される内容と一致するとは限りません。）
流山市に開校される小学校の募集・試験などはどのようになるのでしょうか。
A1現在、募集学年は未定です。
開校時に新1年生以外の学年を募集する可能性があります。
試験についても未定ですが、本校が行なっているような内容が予測されます。
英語で授業する主要科目は何ですか。
A2レギュラークラスは、英語・フランス語・図工を英語で行ないます。
インターナショナルクラスは、英語・算数・生活（1,2年）理科（3～6年）・社会（3～6年）・フランス語・図工です。
図工を英語で行なうことは、感性の部分を外国人教師から育むメリットがあります。
インターナショナルスクールの良さと日本にある学校としてのアイデンティティを大切にするために、外国人が日本史を英語で教えるような工夫をしています。
Recommended Entrance exam
Persons making applications for the recommended entrance exam may designate only one choice for either the international or regular course. There are 20 positions available for the international course and 20 positions available for the regular course for a total of 40 openings in the recommended entrance exam
. In cases where applicant scores are similar, more than the limited number may be permitted acceptance.The exam fee for the recommended entrance exam is 20,000 Japanese yen.
General entrance exam
Persons making applications for the general entrance exam are permitted to designate a first and second choice for the A and B course. If acceptance to ones first choice is rejected, there is the possibility of acceptance to ones second choice.
Applicants who sat the recommended entrance exam but were unable to gain acceptance are able to apply to the general entrance exam.
There are 10 positions available for the international course and 10 positions available for the Regular Course for a total of 20 openings in the general entrance exam. In cases where applicant scores are similar, more than the limited number may be permitted acceptance.
The fee for the general entrance exam is 20,000 Japanese Yen regardless of whether the applicant has sat the entrance exam for the recommended entrance exam or not. Under no circumstances will the total number of students in any class exceed 35 students.
Information regarding the tentative opening of Nagareyama Primary School Students who apply to Gyosei International Primary school’s Kisarazu campus with the intent of transferring to the Nagareyama school upon its opening will be able to do so.
Nagareyama will be recruiting students from first to fourth grade. There is a tentative plan for two international classes and one regular class per grade. Class size is not yet fixed but an initial forecast of 20 students per class is expected.
